The name TearFund (English pronunciation: /tɪər/ /fʌnd/) has repeatedly led to confusion and a need for explanation. We're not about animals, nor do we want to trigger the tear gland. This is another reason why we have given ourselves a new, memorable name: ena. In the latest podcast episode, we give you an exclusive insight: What steps were necessary for TearFund to become ena.
CEO and marketing strategist reveal the secret
The new name was revealed for the first time at the big TearFund party at the Folium in Zurich on September 6. The room lighting changed from red to blue and marked the launch of ena, which not only has a contemporary look with its bright blue color, but is also boldly different. Claudia Hedinger (Communications at ena) was there and recorded the podcast episode "Courageous action" live on stage.
Thomas Stahl, CEO of ena, tells us how this bold step came about, about the joyful milestones and sleepless nights. He has been working at ena for ten years. First as country manager for Bangladesh and the emergency aid projects, and for the last four years as CEO.
