Your tasks
Head of International Programs
- Strategy & implementation: You develop and implement the international programme strategy in line with the organization's overall strategy. You plan, manage and report on the programs.
- Team leadership: You lead and develop your team, coach, encourage and challenge employees and create a positive work culture.
- Finance: You create and monitor the budget of the International Programs department.
- Quality management: You implement the Core Humanitarian Standard and ensure compliance with ZEWO and ISO quality standards.
- International cooperation: You maintain and expand partnerships and represent ena in relevant networks and cooperations at home and abroad (travel: 4 to max. 7 weeks per year).
- Partnerships & Fundraising: You support the financing of projects, the development of institutional partnerships and represent ena with relevant stakeholders and donors.
- Management: You help shape the overall strategy, work closely with other division heads and contribute your expertise. You promote the further development of the organization and are directly responsible for your division to the CEO and the Executive Board.
Program responsibility Latin America/Peru
- Programme management: You will manage and develop the Peru/Latin America country programme in close cooperation with local partner organizations and the team on the ground. You are responsible for the quality and impact of the programs.
- Implementation & impact: They ensure efficient and sustainable implementation and ensure that the programmatic goals and impact are achieved.
- Partnerships: You maintain good relationships with local partner organizations and strengthen effective cooperation.
- Project evaluation & monitoring: You review project applications, accompany and monitor ongoing projects and ensure their quality.
- Funding & reporting: You write applications and reports for marketing purposes and institutional donors.
Profile
- Experience in development cooperation and humanitarian aid: You have successfully managed programs and projects in an international context.
- Leadership experience: You have led and developed teams - even in challenging situations.
- Education: You have a degree in development cooperation, international relations or a comparable field of study (ideally ETH NADEL).
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking: You design programs for the long term and strategically in line with the organization's goals.
- Financial management: You are familiar with budgeting, controlling and key financial figures.
- Quality management: You are familiar with the Core Humanitarian Standard.
- Intercultural competence: You have experience in working with international partner organizations and understand global and local dynamics.
- Communication & negotiation: You communicate clearly, diplomatically and purposefully - even in difficult situations.
- Resilience & decisiveness: You remain capable of acting even in complex situations and make the necessary decisions.
- Sense of responsibility: You take responsibility, make decisions and stand up for your results.
- Language skills: Very good German and English and good Spanish are required; other languages are a plus.
- Ability to work in a team: You like to work cooperatively and strengthen the team spirit.
- Analytical & conceptual skills: You quickly recognize correlations and develop well thought-out concepts.
- Value orientation: They identify with ena's values and are committed to its mission.
